    The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that occurred at Griffin’s Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts. The reason for this event was because of Britain taxing colonist. It got to the point where Britain was taxing essentials causing colonist to get mad and fight for independence.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    In this war Massachusetts colonists defied British authority, outnumbered and outfought the redcoats, and embarked on a lengthy war to earn their independence. In the end of this war the British marched into Lexington and Concord intending to suppress the possibility of rebellion. Instead, their actions sparked the first battle of revolutionary war. This war leading to 93 Americans and 300 British all either dead or injured.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    Fought in Charlestown, Massachusetts. This battle took place on Breed’s Hill, the hill situated closest to the Charles River. This battle happened because colonial forces, learning of a British plan to occupy strategic hills surrounding Boston, fortified Breed’s Hill overnight, leading to a major engagement in the early stages of the American Revolution. This battle lasted approximately 2 hours with British winning.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    This war took place on the fields of upstate New York. The reason for this war was an attempt to invade New England from Canada with the goal of isolating New England from the rest of the United States. The battle was divided into two encounters, the first on September 19th and the second on October 7th. The first battle was known as the Battle of Freeman’s Farm and the second one was known as the Battle of Bemis Heights. By the end the American had won.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    The Battle of Yorktown proved to be the decisive engagement of the American revolution. This war took place in Gloucester and Yorktown, Virginia from September 28th- October 19th, 1781. This war took place when Cornwallis intends to refit and resupply his 9,000-man army. The continental army seizes an opportunity to attack while Cornwallis is waiting for supplies. Due to this opportunity the Americans did win.
