Start of the Ukraine War
Mostly Tik-Tok and Instagram where used in the beginning of the war. Certain videos would give out information about the war. Other videos showed how people could disarm tanks. -
Paris 2024 Olympics
This was a disruption because the Olympics of 2024 were widely discussed and argued on social media. One main example was between the bronze medal in the women's gymnastic beam competition. Some believed the United States deserved the medal and argue who it should go to. -
Election of 2024
The election was a big disruption for social media because of how much it played a part in the election. Before the election began Tik-Tok and Instagram were used to convey information regarding both parties. Was also a disruption because of the Tik-Tok ban that was supposed to happen.
