Treaty of Paris (1763)

This was a treaty which ended the French Indian war. The outcome of this treaty was that France was almost completely sent out of North America and the end of the conflict between France and Britain. This meant that Britain gained right over the land west of the Appalachians and west of the Mississippi. -
Royal Proclamation of 1763

This proclamation said that no colonial settler was allowed to settle on the other side of the Appellation Mountains. This made the colonists angry because they had fought to keep that land from the French and they saw no reason not to settle there. The British had a really good reason. They did not want to push the Indians any further back then them already where. seeing it might create a war against the Indians -

This was an act that put a tax on sugar bought by the colonists. in the preamble of the act it states that" it is expedient that new provisions and regulations should be established for improving the revenue of this Kingdom". This meant that the British wanted more funds for protecting the colonists. -

This was a street fight between some British soldiers and a mob of colonists. it started when the mob started throwing snowballs, rocks & sticks at a British sentry who called for reinforcements. in the end the British killed 3 one of whom was a black sailor named Crispus Attucks and wounded 8 others two of which died later. -
