    Marco Polo's exploration was through China, where he discovered the treasures of the land and established trade routes along the way. He traveled these lands with his father and uncle, bring back many materials, sources and methods that are still used today.

    Exploration of Ibn Battuta - 1325-1354

    Battuta's exploration took him through Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Iberian Peninsula, establishing trade routes that would prove pertinent. His initial goal was to initially by a pilgrimage to Mecca, eventually turning into massive exploration.

    The Chinese explored Arabia, East Africa, India, Malay Archipelago and Thailand for the purposes of trade. They presented them with gifts of gold, silver, porcelain and silk, and in return received ostriches, zebras, ivory, camels and giraffes.

    This war was a fight from independence from the British, which owned the colonies which would eventually become the United States of America.
  • War Between the States - 1861-1865

    The war between the states (The Civil War) took place not because Lincoln wanted to free the slaves, but because he felt the southern states should pay more taxes as they were getting rich from free labor. In order to win the war, he allowed black to join the army which made the North a force to be reckoned with.
