When he began to rule, the Vandals were a wounded nation who were fleeing from the hands of their own people and the Huns. During his reign he made alliances with strong tribes, and acquired and secured a kingdom. He removed his people from the oppresions of the past but not forever.

Huneric, succeeded Gaiseric. Huneric would not keep his great kingdom together. The Berbers revolted. No one could command the respect Gaiseric had won. Under his control the kingdom spun out of control and began to fall apart.

Hilderich succeeds Thrasamund

After the death of Thrasamund, a great grandson of Gaiseric and mildly homosexual bachelor named Hilderich became king of the Vandals. He favoured the Catholiscism as it was the religion of his mother and granted religious freedom destroying the works of his predecessor. Unamused with this, Gilemir, his cousin overthrew Hilderich and threw him in prison and executed him to the Vandal peoples delight. Hiderich was the first Vandal king to be assasinated or overthrown.

The Vandals fight the Byzantine Empire at the Battle of Ad Decimum and loss resulting in the Sack of Carthage, the Vandal Capital

The last Vandal king before the nations fall. Although he only ruled for four years Gelimer had one of the most tubulent rules of all the Vandal kings. He gained the throne in the most radical way out of all the kings, fought the countries two largest battles, and eventually contributed to the countries demise. Once the Vandals were defeated, Gelimer was given rich estates in Galatia where he and his family were to spend their lives in safety, free to worship as they liked by the Roman emperor.

After retreating to Hippo Regius, The Vandals fight the Byzantine Empire again at the Battle of Tricamarum resulting in the siege of the last Vandal City Hippo Regius

Gelimer, the Vandal king surrenders to the Byzantine Empire ending the Kingdom of the Vandals

Tharsamund succeeded his brother Gunthamund and brought the country into religous unison by the persection and torture of the remaining Catholic and Orthodox Christians. Tharsumand resecured the religious identity of the Vandals to Arianisim.

Genseric was Godigsel's bastard and and half brother of Gunderic who he succeeded in 428 CE. Following in the footsteps of his brother Geneseric desired to free the Vandals from their previous oppresions however, he went about in a different manner. Shortly after the beginning of his reign the Vandals began to be attacked frequently by the Romans and Visgoths. Fleeing from this, Genseric his people across the Mediteranean to Northern Africa where he established the powerful Vandal kingdom.
