I found it intereresting that Congress expanded Women's History Weel to a month during the year I was born. I have always felt very strongly about women's rights and pursued a concentration in women's studies during my undergraduate studies.

This was one of my favorite school trips as a child. It was during 4th grade that I fell in love with social studies. It was also the first time I knew I loved social studies and wanted to teach it.

I remember this event vividly. I remember sitting in my living room watching the news with my sister and mother. Many people were crying and were so upset, I was upset. I was very young but could see the potential he had. What I remember most was that many people compared it to the day his father was assassinated. I remember thinking what terrible luck he and his family had with death.

This was one of those events where I remembered exactly where I was and what I was doing. I was walking up the stairs to my second period class when I saw the events taking place on TV. At first, I did not understand what was happening. I went to my next class and heard several names being called on the speaker. My Religion teacher explained to us what had happened and informed us that the names of the students called where those who had parents who worked in the World Trade Center.

This was my first imajor international trip alone. I was both nervous and excited. I had an opportunity to go two years before China was to host te 2008 Olympics. In dping so, I had an oportunity to watch China as it prepared to showcase itself to the world and prepare the stadium for the events.

Ban Ki-moon (Hangul: 반기문; born 13 June 1944) is the current Secretary-General of the United Nations succeeding Kofi Annan in 2007. Before becoming Secretary-General, Ban was a career diplomat in South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the United Nations. He entered diplomatic service the year he graduated from college, accepting his first post in New Delhi, India. In the foreign ministry he established a reputation for modesty and competence.

This was an important event in my life. He was the first person I have ever lost. It was also very difficult for me because he lived in Canada, so I was unable to see him often. He was an excellent story teller and would spend hours telling me about the Great Depression and his life back in Italy. His stories transformed me. He is a major reason why I love and pursued the stufy of history.

This was an extremely enriching learning experience for me. During my studies I had an opportunity to learn about the ancient history of Egpyt, the Islamic culture, modern day Egypt, and the environmental factors that affecting the country as well.

This was a tragic event. It took several days and weeks to shake the stories and images I saw on the news. It made me self reflect on what type of teacher I want and would like to be. It also made me appreciate my profession and the dedication of other teachers.
