There were two women who thought the same baby was theirs and they were fighting. They were prostitutes. So they came to Solomon, and to solve the problem he said lets cut the baby in half. When the temple was finished being built Solomon did a prayer of dedication and the Lord's presence was with them. Dwelling there. It was made for God's presence to dwell forever. He listened to the prophet b/c he said not to go into battle. He didn't believe that the Israelites weren't going to fight so he built cities in Judah. Then the Levites leave Israel and move back to Judah, to Rehoboam. They left Jeroboam. He had 18 wives and 60 concubines. 28 sons 60 daut. His favorite wife was his first cousin. -
