The Birth of Samuel
Samuel is a miracle child. He was born to Hannah, a young girl who couldn't have children but wanted them so bad. She begged God for a child and God gave her Samuel. Hannah had promised that if God gave her a son she would re-dedicate him back to God, so for Samuels childhood he lived in the temple. -

Eli's death
Eli was Samuels guardian when he was living in the temple. When Samuel was a lot older they Israelites went to battle with the ark and during the battle Eli's sons all died and the ark was stolen. Eli was so shocked he fell and broke his neck. -

Saul Anointed King
Saul was looking for his fathers donkeys and ran into Samuel and he anointed him. Saul is described as tall, handsome, and dark. At first he hides when Samuel tries to introduce him but later he takes the rule of king seriously. -

Jonathan Defeats the Philistines
Jonathan and his armor-bearer go up to the enemy and defeat them. But Saul made a rash vow that they have to fast and Jonathan breaks that vow because he just fought and Saul wanted to put to death his own son, but the people stopped him before he could. -

Saul Rejected by God
Saul was supposed to kill the Ammonites and all their possessions but he doesn't kill all the livestock and keeps the king alive. Samuel hacks the king to pieces and then tells Saul that he is rejected by God and that someone else will be taking his place. -

After Saul sins multiple times God rejects him and directs Samuel to a shepherd boy, David. And he anoints him king over Israel. -

David saw a women named Bathsheba bathing on the roof of one of the houses near the castle and invited her in to his house. That night David slept with Bathsheba and a little while later Bathsheba delivers the news that she is pregnant. David tries many different ways to manipulate Bathsheba's husband Uriah. He finally tells his general Joab to put Uriah in the front lines and then pull back so Uriah dies. -

David and Absalom
One of David's sons Amnon loves his half-sister Tamar and rapes her and Tamar's full brother, Absalom finds out about this and tells David. David does nothing about it and two years later Absalom takes matters into his own hands and kills Amnon himself. Absalom slowly steals his father's kingdom and is crowned king. Absalom finally finds them and starts a war with David's army. Absalom's army was almost completely gone so Absalom gets caught in a tree and is killed. -

David Dies
David was buried in the city of David. He reigned 40 years and people mourned for him and Solomon took his place. -

Solomon Crowned
Solomon is chosen over Adonijah. The people were split over who to make their next king. So David chooses Solomon as their king. -

Solomon's Reign
Solomon disobeyed God a lot while he was reigning. He married 700 wives and had 300 concubines. He also fell into the other religions of his wives and disobeyed all the commandments God gave to kings. Solomon starts worshiping Malik and Asherah. The two worst idol's in all scripture. -

Hiram is the king of Tyre and was a good friend of David. Solomon asks Hiram for help to build the temple. Hiram gives Solomon all the supplies he needs to build the temple. -

Solomon's Wisdom
Two prostitutes came to Solomon with a child and were arguing over whose child it was. Solomon says that they should just cut the baby in half and they share it. The one women agrees, she'd rather have them both prostitutes then herself going through it alone. The other woman pleads with Solomon and says that the other women could have it if it could stay alive. Solomon recognized the love this one mother had and gave the child to her, the true mother. -

Solomon's Vision
God comes to Solomon and tells him that he will give him whatever he asks for. Solomon answers and says that he would like wisdom and God was so happy with Solomon's request that he gives him riches and honor so that no other king would be like him. -

Solomon's Temple
Solomon built a very outstanding and beautiful temple and God said that if Solomon walked in the way of the Lord and did what was right then God would dwell among the people and never forsake him. It took 7 years to construct. -

The Queen of Sheba
This queen comes to see Solomon's kingdom and is astounded at Solomon's accomplishments. She rewards him with gold and spices. Solomon was also very wealthy. He had to feed his wives, army, and servants each day. They needed a huge amount of flour, cornmeal, and different types of meat. And he had to feed all his animals too. He had different servants to do all of this. -

The Kingdom's Split
The people rebelled against King Rehoboam because he would not listen to them. So when Jeroboam returned some of the people made him king over Israel and Rehoboam stayed and reigned over Judah. -

King Rehoboam (Judah)
Rehoboam was the King of Judah. During his reign he built forts around Judah and prepared for war against the Israel. He spreads people out to each fort and keeps his favorite wife with him. He was going to go to war but a prophet stopped him. He reigned for 17 years. -

Rehoboam's Revolt
The people wanted the taxes lower so they came to Rehoboam and he told them he would give them 3 days and then give them an answer. He abandoned the counsel of his elders and turned to his younger counselor's and they told him to make the taxes harder so Rehoboam did. -

Jeroboam's Fall
While Jeroboam is making an offering a man comes out and cries out and says "The house of David shall have a son. His name should be, Josiah and he will sacrifice the priest from the high places on you. And the altar shall be destroyed! The king heard of this and demands that he be taken away. His hand shrivels up and he begs God to heal it and he does. -

Jeroboam's Idols
Jeroboam made two idols and put one in the North and one in the South. God looks back at these idols later on and says that these were the cause of Israel's downfall. -

King Jeroboam (Israel)
Was a servant of Solomon but planned to rebel against him. Eventually a prophet named Ahijah came to him and gave him 10 tribes. When Solomon finds out he tries to kill him but Jeroboam runs to Egypt and Jeroboam becomes king when Solomon dies. Was also the king of Israel. Reigned 22 years. -

King Abijah (Judah)
Abijah was the king of Judah and reigned for 3 years. He is also known as Abijam. He was an evil king, and worshiped idols. Jeroboam tries to defeat him at a speech but Judah takes over him. -

King Asa (Judah)
Asa takes over the throne from his father after he dies. Asa was a very good king, he was basically exactly opposite of his father. He destroys idols and brings Judah back to God. -

Nadab didn't really do anything with his life. But the bible does say that he was a bad king. -

King Baasha (Israel)
Baasha was an evil king and was punished severely for his sins. He lost his house because of his sins, he lost his sons and everything that belonged to him because of his sins. He reigned 24 years. -

Elijah
Elijah was a prophet and was a very good one. He mentored Elisa and was taken up to heaven in a fiery chariot. He left his rule to Elisha. Elijah was a very powerful prophet but before he went up to heaven Elisha asked to have double the power Elijah did. -

Asa's Battle
Asa goes to Syria and asks for help defeat the Israelites and they defeat Israel but a prophet comes to Asa and says that he should have trusted in God instead of man. Asa throws the prophet in prison and God gives him a disease and he still doesn't trust God with his disease he dies.
Asa also had a grandmother who was like a witch and he was so diligent in wiping out all the idols that he killed his own grandmother. -

King Elah (Israel)
Elah reigned 2 years. One day when Elah was drunk a man named Zimri came and killed Elah and made himself king. -

King Zimri (Israel)
Zimri was the man who killed Elah and when the people heard he had done that they knew he wasn't a good king so they planned to kill him. Zimri heard of this and burned the palace down with him inside it. So there would be no palace for the next king. Zimri only reigned for 7 days. -

King Omri (Israel)
The people were split over who to make their next king and half of the people followed Tibni and the other half followed Omri. Omri's half overtook Tibni and Omri became king.
Omri was an evil man. It says that he was more evil than every king before him. Omri reigned for 12 years. -

The Widow of Zarephath
Elijah is out in the wilderness during a drought and wandering around. He comes to the Widow in Zarephath and asks for some water and food. The widow was picking up sticks for her and her sons last meal before they died. The widow still graciously gave Elijah some of her last water and bread. After that God put more oil and flour in her pot everyday so they never went hungry again. -

King Ahab (Israel)
Ahab was also a very wicked king. It says again that he was more evil than every king before him. Worse than his father. He reigned for 22 years. He also married Jezebel and she was also very wicked. He worshiped many idols specifically Baal. -

Jehoshapat's Reign (Judah)
Jehoshapat is the son of Asa. He was 35 years old when he started reigning. He was a very good king and made peace with the King of Israel. He did not take down a lot of the idols so the people were still worshipping idols but he did good in the sight of the Lord. -

Naboth's Vineyard
Ahab was looking out his window and sees a pretty vineyard right beside his palace. He goes down and find's the owner of the vineyard, Naboth. He tells him he will buy it and give him more but Naboth does not want his vineyard to be destroyed so he refuses. Ahab goes and pouts in his bedroom and his wife, Jezebel comes and comforts him and tells him she will take care of it. She hosts a party and hires people to lie and say that Naboth did a terrible sin. They stone Naboth. -

Ahab's Death
Ahab went into battle against Syria and someone shot their arrow at random and it struck Ahab between his armor and his blood flowed into his chariot and he slowly died. He was a very evil king and reigned 22 years. -

Jehoshaphat's Battle Against the Moabites, Ammonites, and Mount Sier
Jehoshaphat made his army fast and pray before the battle. God was very pleased with his actions and told him he wouldn't have to fight but Jehoshaphat did anyway and they sang and praised God in the front lines as they went. -

Ahaziah's Reign (Israel)
Ahaziah was Ahab's son and was the king of Israel. He reigned 2 years and was an evil king. He served idols and did all the bad things his father did. One day he falls threw a lattice and sends messengers to call on his Gods to heal him. But Elijah intercepts the messengers and kills them and in the end Ahaziah dies. -

Jehoram's Reign (Israel)
Jehoram reigned for twelve years and was the son of Ahab, He was a was an evil king but didn't do as bad as his father, because he put away the idol of Baal but lead Israel away from God. The king of Moab had made a vow with Ahab to give him lots of sheep but when he died he rebelled and Jehoram went to go seek out the king of Moab with Jehoshaphat. After there long walk they needed water so they called on Elisha and the next morning the valley was flooded. -

Horses and Chariots of Fire
The king of Syria was going to war with Israel but God told the king of Israel found out where they were camping and the King of Syria was very troubled. They found out that it was Elisha who was spying on them with the help of God and so the King of Syria sent an entire army to go kill Elisha. Elisha and a servant and Elisha says that they should not be afraid and he opens the servants eyes and he sees chariots and fire all through the hills. -

Jehu goes to Jezebel right after he kills her son and tells two eunuch to throw her out the window and then Jehu ran over her with his chariot. Later they found that she had been eaten by dogs and then Jehu got the rest of Ahab's descendants to be brought to him in baskets and then he showed the baskets to Israel to show intimidation. -

Naaman healed of Leprosy
Naaman was a commander for the king of Syria but one day he get sick with leprosy. One of his wife's maids told him he should go to see Elisha so he does. Elisha tells him to wash in the river 7 times. Naaman doesn't listen at first but his servants pursuade him and he is healed. He goes back to Elisha to give him a reward but he won't take it. Elisha's servent runs after Naaman and gets the reward and when Elisha found out his servant is struck with Naaman's leprosy on him and his descendants. -

Queen Athaliah
Athaliah is the mother of Ahaziah and when he dies she kills the rest of the heirs to the throne and rules for 6 years. Ahaziah's sister Jehosheba went and stole Ahaziah's son Jehoash away and hid him for 6 years. Athaliah was a very evil person and she was eventually overthrown when Jehoash took the throne. -

King Jehu (Israel)
Jehu was anointed king over Israel. He killed Joram, Ahaziah, Jezebel, Ahab's Descendants, and the prophets of Baal. He did good for a while but then he fell into sin and he was punished. -

Joash was a good king to start out with and then ended bad when he killed the high priest and his son, in the temple. He was kept hidden away from his Grandmother Athaliah by his Uncle, who was the high priest. His father was Ahaziah who died and then Athaliah killed the rest of the heirs to take the throne. He also reigned 40 years. -

King Jehoahaz (Israel)
Jehoahaz was the son of Jehu and he reigned 17 years. He was an evil king but he did one thing right when he called out to God when they went to battle and God answered his prayers and they won the battle. The army was greatly diminished after this. -

King Jehoash
Jehoash reigned for 16 years and he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He goes and visits Elisha who is on his death bed and tells him about the battle he has been fighting for a very long time. Elisha tells him to shoot a arrow out the window. Then he tells him to strike the ground and when he only strikes the ground 3 times he only wins the next three wars and then continues losing. Elisha dies. -

He reigned 52 years. Uzziah was a good king and he fought against the Philistines. He was doing very well but then one day he got very proud and went into the temple to burn incense to the Lord but the other prophets stopped him and told him it was not his place. And when he became angry he broke out in leprosy on his forehead and he was a leper till the day he died. -

King Hoshea (Isreal)
He killed Pekah and was an evil king and only reigned for 9 years. Assyria became very powerful and they are the ones who conquers Israel. Israel is captured by the Assyrians who were very violent. -

Jotham was a very good king and he reigned for 16 years. He is the only king that nothing is said bad about him. He followed God and stayed away from the temple as much as possible because he did not want to commit the sin of his Father Uzziah who burned incense in the temple when he wasn't supposed too. -

King Ahaz (Judah)
Ahaz is the son of Jotham and he reigned 16 years. He was a bad king. He worshiped idols and sacrificed his sons to them also. So God punished him and they lost to Syria, Assyria, and Israel. Israel also took the people and made them their slaves. But Ahaz did not back down and kept worshiping the idols there. He moved the altar of the Lord to his house to do his own worshiping and witchcraft and cuts up the vessels in the temple and no one is allowed to go into Solomon' s temple. -

Hezekiah (Judah)
Hezekiah was a very good king and reigned for 29 years. The king of Assyria and Hezekiah were sending messages back and forth and Hezekiah was saved because of his faith in God. -

Hezekiah had a huge Passover were they sacrificed tons of stuff for God. -

Hezekiah's Sickness
Hezekiah became sick and was about to die and Isaiah the prophet came to him and said that he would die. Hezekiah was very sad mostly because he did not have any heirs to take over. So God said that he could live for 15 more years and to prove it was real he would preform a miracle either he could move the sun 10 paces back or 10 paces forward and Hezekiah picks 10 paces backward so God put the sun back 10 hours back. -

The Babylonians came to Hezekiah and he shows him around and even takes them into the temple even though he wasn't supposed too. Isaiah came to him and tells him that destruction will come on his sons instead of him and Hezekiah does not care as long as it wasn't in his life time. -

King Manasseh (Judah)
Manasseh was a very evil king. He dealt with witchcraft, extreme sexual immorality, he sacrificed his own sons to gods, he worshiped every idol he could find, and he was so violent that he filled Jerusalem with the blood from his victims. He is then captured, tortured and sold to Babylon and there he prays to God and it says that God was moved by his prayer so he sends him back to his kingdom and he follows God. This is the greatest story of repentance.He reigned 55 years. -

Hezekiah and the Assyrians
The Assyrians had already defeated Israel and were coming for Judah and Hezekiah and the king from Assyria were sending message's back and forth and Hezekiah prayed about it and God saved him from the Assyrians. The messenger was Rabshakeh and the king of Assyria sent a letter and that was when Hezekiah laid it before the Lord and asked him what he was going to do about it. -

Josiah did make one mistake in his life. He fought against the Egyptians when he wasn't supposed to and Pharoah killed him as soon as possible. -

He was the son of Josiah. He started reinging at 23 years old and reigning over Judah for 3 months. He was evil. He got killed by king gof Egypt. -
