    Fundamental Beliefs: One fundamental belief is that everything that makes up the universe or is in the universe is God.

    Where is it practiced- Israel, Canada, USA
    Key scriptures- Torah (holy text) Mishnah (book of laws)
    Fundamental Beliefs: You will be rewarded if you do good deeds and punished if you do bad deeds. Also, Hanukah is when the Jews got back Jerouselum.

    The Crusades

    1. The Crusades were a set of 9 wars between the Muslims and the Christians. They were fighting over Jerusalem which was considered as the "Holy Lands"
    2. The Crusades mainly took place in Jerusalem.
    3. One Historically important figure was Pope Urban. Pope Urban was the person to convince the Western Christians to get the holy lands back from the Islam Religion.
    4. The result of the Crusades were fought a very long time but, in the end the Muslim Mamluks took the Holy lands.

    Karma- anything that you do could affect back on you

    Heaven and Hell- Depending on if you did good or bad in your lifetime you would either go to heaven or Hell in Christian beliefs.

    -praying 5 times a day
    -you must make a trip to Mecca in your lifetime

    -you have to be able to confess your faith
    -you have to give when you have more

    The Sri Lankon Civil war

    1. Buddhism and Hinduism both fought in this war. This dispute started when Sri Lanka became independent from Britian. Buddhists surpressed the Hindu who revolted.
    2. Mainly fought in Sri Lanka
    3. The Buddhist army or the Sri Lankan army were fighting against the Hindu army or the Tamil army.
    4. Even though this dispute lasted a long time, In the end the Buddhists were able to defeat the hindus ending the war between the 2 religions.

  • Israel-Hamas War

    1. Islam and Judaism were fighting over the holy land. The Jews and Muslims are still fighting so this dispute is ongoing.
    2. This is and was mainly going on in Israel.
    3. Hamas was one organization that used rocket attacks and bombings on the Jews.
    4. There were many people being killed and displaced. This war is still going on so the conflict is ongoing
