    This case was made agains the Board of Education of District of Columbia for wrongfully suspending special education students or reassigning them to different classes.

    Ensures that all children with disabilities have a right to the best education possible.

    Extended special education services to preschoolers.

    Introduced transition services for children with disabilities so they could have a smooth transition into adulthood.
  • Cedar Rapids Community School District v. Garret F.

    Supreme Court ruled schools must provide medical services to students if it is required for them.
  • No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB)

    Required schools to be held accountable for the educational growth of all students.
  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA)

    Emphasized accountability and results within what was formerly known as IDEA.
