    Jesus Presentation in the Temple
    Luke 2:22-40: Forty days after Jesus' birth, as was the custom for Jews, He was carried to the temple to be presented to the Lord. Here, the prophetess, Ana, and Simeon noticed the Messiah, praised God and blessed Him. This showed that Jesus (and His parents) modelled obedience to God's Law even from birth.

    Jesus Goes Missing
    Luke 2:41-52: Jesus visited the temple with His parents for the passover. There, He witnessed the ceremony and grasped His role as the Passover Lamb. His parents found Him in conversation with the learned men of the temple after He had been missing for 3 days. When His mother asked Him why He had allowed them to worry, He responded, "How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" Luke 2:49 This story indicates Jesus' connection to His heavenly Father.

    Jesus' Baptism

    Jesus' Baptism
    Matt 3:13-17, Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-23: Jesus was baptised at the age of 30 by his cousin, John the Baptist, who had been sent to prepare the way for His ministry. At His baptism, a dove landed on Him and a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son in whom I am well pleased."
    This modelled His obedience to God's ideals, showed His connection to God and marked the beginning of His ministry.

    John 2:1-11: This was Jesus' first miracle and shows His compassion and wisdom. His mother asked Him to help the couple as their wine had run out. Jesus responded that it was not yet His time, but still helped the couple by turning water into wine. Jesus knew time was needed to complete His ministry and didn't risk rushing it along, but still showed care for our concerns.

    John 3:1-21: Jesus' meeting with Nicodemus showed patience and impartiality. Even though he was part of a group that consistently antagonised Jesus, He willingly sat with him and explained the gospel, which Nicodemus should have understood as a teacher of the Law.

    Healing of the Crowds in Capernum
    Matthew 8:1-4, Mark 1:32-34, Luke 4:40-41: Again, Jesus' compassion and understanding of his learners is seen here. He had healed Peter's mother-in-law and cast out demons that Sabbath day, but as it was not time to end His ministry, He did as little as possible to anger the Pharisees. However, He compassionately healed the sick and cast out devils once the Sabbath was over. He made sure His learners were well and fit to listen and learn.

    John 5: The Religious leaders of Israel had misled the children of Israel into seeing the Sabbath as a burden. Jesus, seeing the lame man, treated him with compassion and healed him. He also used this to begin to re-teach the concept of the Sabbath as a delight, not a burdensome day.

    Matthew 15:39-16:4, Mark 8:11-12: The religious leaders came to Jesus demanding a sign that He was indeed from heaven. Jesus didn't satisfy their request, knowing it was a trap. Instead, He told them their will be no sign, except His ressurection.
    This showed His authority, He was not flustered or loose his integrity in the face of disagreeable situations or people.

    Matthew 6:9-15, Luke 11:1-13: In this story, Jesus carefully models to His disciples how to pray. He also instructs them not to recite as the heathen do but pray as though they were speaking to God.
    This showed that while Jesus modelled the behaviours He wants from us, He wants us to be ourselves in Him.

    Jesus Refuses to Destroy a Samaritan Village
    Luke 9:51-56: On Jesus' journey back to Jerusalem, He stopped by a Samaritan village hoping to find lodging. He sent His disciples ahead to organise a room, but they were rejected because they were headed to Jerusalem. His disciples, offended, asked Jesus if they should call fire from heaven down on the village, but Jesus, in forgiveness, love and patience, simply directed them to another village.

    Luke 10:1-24: This story shows Jesus training His disciples and then sending them out to preach and heal just as He did. Jesus challenged His disciples and when they came back, they shared their success.

    Matthew 23:37-39, Luke 13:34-35: This story shows how passionate and loving Christ is about His people. Even though the Jews had rejected Him, He was still pained by the thought of the consequences that followed.

    Matthew 27:27-33, Mark 15:22-26, luke 23: 33-34, John1917-24: Jesus did the most selfless thing ever done and died for us. Here, He taught us the consequences of our actions, the seriousness of sin and the dept of His love. One quote says:
    A good teacher is like a candle that consumes itself to light the way for others.

    Luke 24:1-12: If He hadn't risen, the prophecy would not have been fulfilled, and we would not have been saved. By resurrecting, Jesus showed His absolute power and authority even over the grave. His followers also finally understood His words.

    John 21:15-17: This is a touching story of Jesus understanding and forgiving Peter after he had denied Jesus. Jesus not only ensured Peter understood the weight of His crime, but He also helped Him better grasp the strength of His love.

    Matthew 28:19-20: Jesus' students graduated from having Him physically present to guide them, to knowing He was with them spiritually and working slightly more independently. Students should grow from strength to strength, and it is the teacher's responsibility to ensure that happens.

    Matthew 21.1-11; Mark 11.1-11; John 12.12-19; Luke 19:28-40: Jesus rode into the city of Jerusalem on a donkey. This was to fulfil the prophecy in regards to the end of His life. Jesus knew what was coming and willingly entered the city because He loved us and in obedience to His Father's will.

    Luke 19:1-10: This story shows Jesus' compassion and impartial attitude toward His people. Even though He knew Zacchaeus was a crooked businessman, He felt his need for a saviour and was willing to go to the home of the despised to save Zacchaeus. Jesus' love brought Zacchaeus to confess and repent of his sins.

    John 12:23-36: Jesus prepared his followers for what was coming. While they may not have grasped what He was saying at the time, Jesus ensured that when He was taken away from them and rose again, they would have been informed enough to finally understand what He was saying.
    A good teacher has a plan and prepares students for what is next.
