Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles is passed which, to British and French wishes, forced Germany to give up a part of their territory in Europe, and the territory that they still have is under supervision. It also stated that they would have to give up all of their overseas possessions. Overall this was set in place to mitigate Germany as a threat and cripple the country as a whole and ended WW1. -
Hitler voted to Power in Germany
Hitler is appointed chancellor of Germany and his election is following many victories by the Nazi party. At this time, the Nazi's were in power. This was the start of Hitler's absolute rule until his death 12 years later. -
Hitler's Olympics
Hitler opened his summer Olympics, hosted in Berlin Germany where his goal was to promote German rise and how powerful they were. His Olympics contained 19 sports and ended on August 16th. -
German Invasion of Poland
Hitler invades Poland trying to add to German territory. Great Britain and France declare war because of this and WW11 is triggered. -

The act was signed in Japan and created a defense alliance between countries. -
Gas Chambers Asablished at Auschwitz
Gas Chambers had been recently used on mental patients and handicapped but in the summer of 1941, they started to be used to kill Jews. -
Pearl Harbor
First attack on US where 177 imperial Japanese Aircraft attacked Pearl Harbor Naval base in Oahu, Hawaii. -
Japanese Americans sent to internment camps
President Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066 to eliminate Japanese as a threat, which applied to those of Japanese decent, and placed them all in containment camps. -

Italy surrenders first because of loss of political hope, Germany next because Hitler's death, and then Japan last due to the Atomic bombs. This ended the war in Europe. -
D-Day
Allied forces land and invade the beaches of Normandy, France. During this time, France was occupied by German Nazi's. These opposing troops consisted of French, US, Canadians, and the United Kingdom. This event code named, Overload, was won by the allies, but many lives were lost to the Germans during this famous invasion. -
Iwo Jima
US marine corps and Navy took the island Iwo Jima from Japanese territory because the Japanese used the island as an upper hand as a base to attack US planes and airfields. -
Franklin D. Roosevelt Death
Franklin D. Roosevelt died while WW11 was coming to an end. He died from health complications while at Warm Springs, Georgia after serving as the 32nd president from 1933 to 1945. After this, Truman took office. -
Atomic Bombs dropped on Japan
Two atomic bombs dropped by US over two cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing 150,000 - 246,000 people. Overall this caused Japan to surrender.
