The Bill of Rights was the first 10 amendments of the Constitution. They are surely the most important, and On September 25, 1789, it was approved. It was written by James Madison. -
Louisiana Purchase
The Louisiana Purchase was when America bought France's land from them. France sold all of their land for only 15 million dollars, and only 2-3 cents per acre. President Jefferson announced it to the people on July 4th, 1803. Some people went along with it, some were against it. -

Lewis and Clark Expidition
Lewis and Clark were two explorers who traveled over 8,000 miles by either boat or foot in about one year and a half. They explored this land because it was the land that France had sold to them. They had not met an indian until August 3, 1804. Htye only lost one member of their comitee. -
Indian Removal Act
The Indian removal Act was when there was a law passed to make the Indians get out of America's new land. It was approved by President Andrew Jackson. They made the Indians leave their ancestrial homelands. -

Trail of Tears
During the Trail of Tears, the Cherokees had to leave their homes and walk thousands of miles to what is now the state of Oklahoma. 4000 out of the 15000 that went died. This was a greatly depressing time for the Cherokees. -
Florida Becomes a U.S. State
At first, Florida was just a busy land holdign 50,000 people that could take the land for free. When it had enough residents, it bacame part of the U.S. It was the 27th state in America. -

This was the first war we fought on foreign soil. When trying to expand, we rean into mexicans along the Rio Grande, who did not want us expanding. Thought after the war, Mexico had lost 1/3 of their land. -
The Transcontinental Railroad was Completed
The Transcontinental Railroad was a train that went all the way across America to the state of California. There were 10,000 Chinese that built it. It took them 60 years to build.
