Wiesel's and his block were evacuated. During the evacuation, some prisoners told them to go back because they were gonna be killed, so they listened to the prisoners and retreated. -

Wiesel made it through the camp. He had made it through the Holocaust -

This is a massive turning point in the war. Adolf Hitler, the leader of nazi Germany, committed suicide because he knew the end was close for him. -
Elie Wiesel Wins Nobel Peace Prize
Elie won the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize and gave his acceptance speech on this day. It was a little over 18 minutes long.
