Assassination of Franz Ferdinand
A Serbian terrorist group, called The Black Hand, decided that the Archduke should be assassinated and his planned visit presented the perfect opportunity. The seven young men that had formed the group had been trained in bomb throwing and marksmanship. The men were stationed along a line where Franz Ferdinand's planned route was going.
