Marriage to John Todd
Dolley married a man named John Todd, a lawyer. They got married in Philedelphia. PA. Even though they were both differant religions Dolley eventually converted to an Episcopalian from a Quaker religion. They were married on January 7th. Dolleys father arranged the marrige. -
John Payne Todd Born
Dolleys gave birth to her first son John Payne Todd, with her first husband John Todd. They decided to name their child after John Todd, her husband. He was born Febuary 29, 1792 into the Todd Family in Philideplhia, PA. -
Dolleys Father Dies
Dolleys father dies, and her mother takes over the boarding house. Dolleys mom as well as other members in the family grieve with the loss of their father. Dolley is independant from her family now but still helps out her mother on occasion. -

William Temple Todd was born about 18 months after his brother John. Although the day William was born is not known we do know he was born in Spetember. Dolley gave birth to William, second son in Philidephia, PA. -
Death of William and John Todd
Yellow Fever took the lives of John Todd and William Temple Todd. William was only about a month old when he became sick with yellow fever and died. John Todd, Dolleys first husband, died the same day also from yellow fever. Historians believe that Dolley and John Payne Todd also had caught yellow fever but overcame it. -

Today I died at the age of 81 in Washington D.C., she was burried in the Congreswsional Cemetary. However Dolley had arrangments that she was supposed to be married next to James Madison. However the land where James Madison, and other members of his family were burried now belongs to someone else.
