    1.1900 – Born on August 18 in Allahabad, British India.
    2.1921 – Marries Ranjit Sitaram Pandit, a barrister and freedom fighter.

    4.1937 – Becomes India’s first female cabinet minister in the United Provinces (U.P.).

    4.1962–1968 – Becomes a Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Phulpur.
    5.1977 – Wins a Lok Sabha seat during the Janata Party movement after opposing Indira Gandhi’s Emergency rule.
