King Henry broke up with the catholic church because he wanted a divorce with Anne Boleyn and the church wouldnt let him. After breaking away Henry formed the Church of England, It was basically the same as the catholic church except that people could divorce. Henry believed that Kings were God's chosen rulers, therefore the King is closer to God's will than the pope.

Catherine of Aragon was the youngest surviving child of her sibblings. Her parents were the joint rulers of Spain. When she was three she was betrothed to Arthur, the son of Henry VII of England. Arthur was not even two at the time.When she was almost 16, Catherine went to England. It took her three months. When she returned, she married soon after. Aurther died later and after a few years she married King Henry VIII. Her true love Henry VII died before they could marry.

The Act of Supremacy meant that King Henry VIII was declared the head of the Church of England. This all started because the church would not allow the annulment of Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon.This date can also be known and the potential start of the English Reformation.

After the annulment she became a very heavy drinker which took a hard toll on her health. She also had a very unhealthy diet along with her drinking problem. We think she died just because of her health.

She made a short speech before she removed her headdress and her head "was cut off with one swift cut" No one was really sure if she had comitted that crime because the evidence wasn't strong. Just eleven days after the execution of his wife Anne Boleyn, King Henry VIII married Jane Seymour. Jane was on the court of service for Queen Catherine and then was moved to wait on Anne. Long before he was to die Henry VIII had his tomb made. Just two weeks after Jane gave birth to her son, she died. She was buried in the tomb that was meant for King Henry VIII. They would be buried in the same tomb. They think she died because of something that happened while she was in labor.

Anne Of Cleaves married King Henry VIII on January 6th, 1540. She and Henry had a doomed marriage. In henry's words "I liked her before not well, but now I like her much worse." The marriage soon dissolved, but Henry was not angry, in fact, he gave her a generous settlement after the marriage including the richmond Palace. They became good friends and she was an honorary member of the kings family. Henry then gave her precedence over all women in England save his own wife and daughters.

King Edward Became King on 20 February 1547 after his father, King Henry VIII died. He was 10 years old. He was a sicky child who was believed to have had tuberculosis. Due to his young age and early death, England was mostly governed by a Regency Council until he died. Edward was a devout protestant and introduced a uniform protestand service in england.

One of her first moves as queen was the establishment of an English Protestant church, of which she became the Supreme Governor.
