Pearl Harbor
In a suprise attack against the United States, who was neutral to the war at the time, Japanese forces destroyed the military base, killing hundreds of soldeirs and effectively destroying the Pacifc fleet. This attack engraged American citizens and led to the United States officially entering the war.

Los Alamos
Located in New Mexico, Los Alamos was home to one of 4 sites scientist such as J. Robert Oppenheimer used to develope and test nuclear weapons that would be used to end WWll once and for all. At this site, the atomic bombs sent to Hiroshima and Nagasaki were created and eventually were sent to bomb Japan.

D-Day
Also known as Operation Overlord, the D-Day invasion of Normandy, France by air, land, and sea carried out by Allied powers initaited a turning point for WWll on the European front. The overwhelming invasions established a foothold in Europe and allowed troops to push through the battle front and regain land occupied by Germany.

Hiroshima
On August 6, 1945, in a strong-armed attempt to end the war with Japan, the United States dropped an atomic bomb nicknamed "Little Boy" on the city of Hiroshima. This bomb destroyed the city and cost thousands their lives, but proved to Japan that the United States was more powerful then they realized.
