    As many people were angry with the British, a specific group of people came together. The sons of liberty did many things such as protest. They wanted it known that what the British were doing was not right and that they were going to stand up against them.

    The Stamp Act was an act created by the British Parliament. They wanted paper such as documents for example to be specially stamped. It didn't matter what it was, they wanted any paper product stamped.

    Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Acts were a series of multiple acts including: The Revenue Act, The Commissioners of of Customs Act, The Indemnity Act, The New York Restraining Act, and The Vice-Admiralty Court Act. The British government was in debt and adding these acts against people were to help them overcome said debt and to also pay high up people in their government system.

    The Boston Massacre resulted in 5 killed and many others wounded. British soldiers wanted to show that they still held power. The British soldiers shot into a crowd of people after someone allegedly yelled "fire". The previous night, Americans were angry, as acts were being brought back up, which is what led up to the Boston Massacre.

    On the Boston harbor, a protest due to tax on tea had taken place. American colonists were the ones to do said protest, but were dressed up as Mohawk Indians. The East India Company had lost 92,000 pounds of tea. The British Parliament had passed acts as a response due to this protest.

    The Intolerable Acts were originally called Coercive Acts. The reason for these acts being adopted followed shortly after the Boston Tea Party by the British parliament. Americans saw these acts being "intolerable" hence its name, Intolerable Acts. These acts were upsetting and chaotic.

    The Battles of Lexington and Concord was all triggered when the British didn't want the colonists to have weapons. The went to Lexington but the colonists were alerted and ready to fight. The battle ended with the British losing.

    The Battle of Bunkerhill was another battle that the British won. Even though the British suffered for casualties, they still were able to defeat the Americans. This resulted in the the British leaving Boston and not wanting to attack again for a little while. This battle was very detrimental to the British army.

    The reason the Olive Branch Petition was sent to England was because Americans did not want to fight with the British. The petition was sent to the King. Many colonists from America were apart of this document. They were intending to be respectful and mindful as they didn't want harm, but wanted peace. The King declined and more chaos was released.

    The Battle of Trenton was a specific battle within many battles before and after. George Washington planned this battle to go and attack Hessians when they least expect it. The reason they planned this attack so quickly is because it made it an easier victory for the Americans. The Americans ended up winning the battle.

    The Articles of Confederation was a document that was intended to help start a government and have the outlines. Essentially, it was created to help run the United States but was shortly replaced with the constitution.

    The Battle of Camden took place in South Carolina. The reason for the battle is because the Americans were upset about the British claiming that land. In the end, the British defeated the Americans and this was very bad for the Americans. Many people died.

    The Battle of Yorktown was the Americans and French versus the British. The British had been occupying Yorktown until they were met with a battle. The British suffered more casualties in the end, as they asked for peace to surrender, which was rejected by George Washington. Due to this loss, a bill passed that the British had to make peace with the United States. The British lost this battle.

    The Treaty of Paris was signed to have the United States finally recognized as their own territory. It is called "Treaty of Paris" because it was signed in Paris, France. Before the treaty, the United States was at war with many countries. This treaty brought peace to end the war of the United States fighting for its independence and power.

    The constitution had became official this day. To this day, we still have and use the constitution. It took place in Philadelphia. There were some chaotic changes as to how the government will run, but people adapted accordingly. The constitution took place of the Articles of Confederation.
