Protects students from low-income students with disabilities and their families. This act was later made the Education of the Handicapped Act of 1970. This protects children with many disabilities since 1971 to today.

This Act prevents people with disabilities from being discriminated. This provides better chances in the workplace, community services, and colleges and universities. Section 504 does not allow disability-based discrimination.

IEP is also known as The Individualized Education Program. The purpose of this act is to produce education that addresses specialized needs. IEP's include parents, teachers, specialists and students when needed.

IDEA is also known as Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. This act helps children with disabilities such by planning their education, special programs for ages 3-21, etc.
